. nowadays we are in a time when we can control everything. . I don't listen to the radio anymore, I make my own playlists. . I don't watch TV anymore, I stream the programs I choose. With the Internet, information itself can be controlled by anyone.
So says a contemporary artist based in Valencia, Spain,Felipe PantoneMr. Kikuchi is a kinetic artist. Against the backdrop of a technological age in which free expression and communication are accelerating, Mr. Kikuchi has been presenting kinetic art that incorporates "movement" by incorporating software-based 3D images into physical canvases such as frescoes, murals, and paintings. Through his own works, which require the participation of the viewer, he raises questions about art that forces the one-way transmission of information.
His solo exhibition, "Manipulable," will be held in Harajuku, Tokyo.Gallery COMMON.The event will be held at

The title "Manipulable" is derived from the Latin word "manus" (hand) and refers to "something that can be moved or manipulated, managed, or molded using the hand. On display at the exhibition are eight large, movable works that can be touched and rotated by the viewer to enjoy a variety of expressions. This is a new approach to bridging the gap between the artist and the viewer.
Felipe said on the occasion of the exhibition, "Light, movement, and color are the characteristics of my work. By adding the element of 'touch,' everyone is able to get closer to the work. . For the first time, I have made all the works in the exhibition so that they are completed by the viewer. As with other things we consume, I believe that the dialogue with the work through the viewer's touch is very contemporary. I wanted to create a work that was relative to the contemporary world as defined by self-curation," he commented.
The exhibition will run from Friday, June 3 to Sunday, July 17 . Felipe'sInstagram. you can also check out the actual work in action on the website.
