Converse Skateboarding has been collaborating with Tokyo's real street scene, including UNION and HOTEL DRUGS, for its "+ Series. We have always felt that the pure selection of collaborators, regardless of fame or infamy, has always hit the right spot, and the next partner was also a great one. The next partner was also a great one: SAYHALLO.
Tokyo-based graphic label Seihalo handles designs in a variety of genres and also develops original apparel. For this collaboration, two models, the "BREAKSTAR SK" and the "CS SLIP-ON SK," are used as base models, and pop colors typical of "Seihalo" are incorporated.
BREAKSTAR SK SAYHELLO OX + ¥15,400
The green and blue color combination is cute and looks like an American candy. Also, blue piping runs along the edges of the lacing stays, and the shoe tongue is decorated with an original graphic from "SEIHALO," among other collaborative tricks.
CS SLIP-ON SK SAYHELLO + ¥14,300
The CS SLIP-ON SK has a blue suede and green canvas instep. The quarter and heel are made of different gradations of gray, and the sole is also colored in a completely crazy pattern. These sneakers have a completely different look depending on the angle you look at them, making them a mysterious pair of sneakers.
Both pairs will have original graphics with the Converse Skateboarding and Seihalo brand logos printed on the insoles and cartons.
They can also be used as a subtle addition to a more tonal look, or worn with a daily outfit such as a T-shirt and jeans, without worrying about color matching. They are scheduled to go on sale in August.
