New Balance is known for its sneakers, but recently its apparel has also been getting a lot of attention.
The capsule collection to be released by "TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance" will consist of three apparel models and one cap. The lineup includes items that are both classic and comfortable, using garment-dyed heavyweight dry cut and sewn fabrics.
Garment Dye Heavy Weight Dry Mock Neck Long Sleeve T-shirt ¥17,600
This relaxed-fit, long-sleeved T-shirt is wide in width and slightly short in length, with a moderately cinched mock neckline for an elegant look. The hem and pocket openings are cut to add a playful touch. Thanks to a unique pattern with no sloping shoulders, it can be worn by anyone regardless of gender or body size.
Garment Dye Heavy Weight Dry T-shirt ¥13,200
Like the previous Long T, this T-shirt features a relaxed silhouette and cut-out details. It is a versatile piece that can be worn alone or as an inner layer.
Garment Dye Heavy Weight Dry Pants ¥18,700
The sweatpants are cropped with a tapered silhouette and go great with sneakers. The elastic waistband and drawcord provide a relaxed fit, making them comfortable enough to wear every day. Moreover, the moderately thick and elegant fabric does not make them look as drab as regular sweatpants, and they can be worn with a clean coordinate.
Running Cap ¥6,600
Based on a 6-panel baseball cap, this one is made of nylon tassar for a classic look. The back of the head has a laser-cut perforated section to prevent stuffiness even when worn for long periods of time. The brim is equipped with a patented shape-memory technology, so it can be folded compactly and stored in a pocket.
Tokyo Design Studio New Balance" is an apparel collection inspired by and developed from established footwear manufacturing. The collection will go on sale on August 26 (Fri.).
