Kihara says that he became fascinated with the various views created by the square holes in the ducts and "became a graphic addict. Since the inside of a duct is a poor environment covered with a large amount of dust and oil, a disposable camera, which is inexpensive and simple to use, was the most suitable for taking pictures.
Sometimes in a space as small as 25cm x 35cm. Contrary to the harsh shooting conditions, Kihara's cut-out worlds have a certain beauty to them.

No one else could have taken this motif. The artist's strong will is evident in the fact that he did not choose this motif from among numerous subjects, but simply photographed what he saw in front of him. Please do not miss the pure creativity that emerges from this work.
