His solo exhibition "Afterimage" will be held from October 15 (Sat.) at the "Mito" in Harajuku, Tokyo.Gallery COMMONThis exhibition will be held at the "Waku" exhibition hall in Tokyo, Japan, and will offer a glimpse of Waku's new direction.
Unlike his previous works, this exhibition uses very iconic symbols as motifs.
In the process of creating the new work, he was confronted with the difficulty of completely abstracting logos and marks that everyone is familiar with, and focused on the structural characteristics of everyday symbols. By exaggerating these features and adding his own unique arrangements, he was able to create a work that can be perceived in various ways by different viewers.
What does the neon art at the venue mean? The answer may lie in the viewer's subconscious.
