Ryosuke Misawa's art, which freely crosses the boundary between digital and analog, opens a new door on the theme of fictional films.

Born in Fukui Prefecture in 1992.Ryosuke Misawa. made his debut as a photographer after working for an advertising agency. Then, in 2020, he began painting on his own and started his career as a contemporary artist in earnest, a unique career path. He has participated in art fairs not only in Japan but also in Switzerland and Korea, and is active both in Japan and abroad.

The theme of his new solo exhibition, which opens tomorrow, is "Give my regards to BLUE.", a fictional film that pays homage to the films and photographs that have influenced him in the past. The three portraits are created as works of art, as beings regardless of race, nationality, or gender.
