Music, art, graffiti, skating, and lifestyle have all been exemplary, and New York has always been ahead of its time. In terms of music, New York has been the birthplace of numerous movements, both domestic and international, from eccentric disco sounds to the more visceral and intuitive techno. New generation artists who respect and remain connected to this beloved past, and who continue to push the boundaries of the deep and unknown, will be coming to CONTACT TOKYO in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Below is a comment from Mr. SHIN, the instigator of this project.
We've helped out with many parties and events, but this is the first time we're doing it on our own, bringing together our favorite artists and brands for a party and pop-up. We wanted to make it a party where you can experience the most up-to-date sound in New York right now, with a mix of visceral techno mixed with a whiff of old disco, so we brought in our friends from New York and Berlin for most of the DJs and set up a set that will play real sounds all night long. The pop-up is,Aaron Bondarov., ,Eric Elms., ,Peter Sutherland, ,Joe Garvey., andL.I.E.S.We will be selling limited items by various brands and artists, including Ron Morelli of LQQK STUDIO, Inc. Also, LQQK STUDIO will be offering new items. There will be only about 50 of each item, so be sure to come early! Also, "MINNANO," "BACK DOOR," "N.HOOLYWOOD," and "JACKPOT," which supported this event, will release exclusive "LQQK STUDIO" T-shirts at their stores in August. Don't miss out on these too!
