A collaborative series between Mountain Research and Reebok. The last in the series is the LX2200 with a retro appearance.

This is the eighth and final collaboration between Mountain Research and Reebok, who have taught us the fun and excitement of collaboration through their outstanding editorial skills.

The last of the commemorative editions is a classic running shoe based on the "LX2200".

The LX2200 is a modern take on Reebok's archived LX8500 model. Kobayashi of Mountain Research has added his own unique "seasoning" to the LX2200, giving it a retro 80's look.

The upper is made of high-quality premium full-grain leather. The color blocking of burgundy and gray is used throughout, a moderate arrangement that only Mr. Kobayashi, a shoe master, could make. Here is what Mr. Kobayashi had to say about this work.

It was a great honor for me to finish the Reebok x Mountain Research project with a pair of running shoes, as it coincided with the image I had of Reebok as a classic running shoe."
