Temporary, comforting, but great art. It seems that Ken Kagami has left some kind of artwork in a Birkenstock store under construction.

On February 23 (Thu), BIRKENSTOCK will open its first directly-managed store in Japan in Harajuku.

Naturally, the site of the proposed store is still temporarily enclosed, but a project is underway to use this as a counterpoint.

Looking into the circle hollowed out of the enclosure, visitors can see a text drawn by contemporary artist Ken Kagami. We will not reveal what is drawn here, as it is for the enjoyment of those who visit the site.

The location is right next to Exit 7 of Meiji-jingumae Station. We are looking forward to the opening, but until then, let's just admire the art.
