Niceworkshop, an up-and-coming design studio from Korea, has landed in Japan. In their first solo exhibition, they will exhibit and sell furniture and objet d'art.

Seoul-based design studioNiceworkshop.. They are known for their exploration of the physical properties of materials and their experimental work, and have recently collaborated with such well-known brands as RIMOWA and Rick Owens.

Such "niceworkshop" will hold its first exhibition in Japan at the Harajuku art space "THE PLUG". Furniture and objets d'art will be exhibited and sold under the theme of the "Bolt Series," a series of representative works using all-threaded bolts.

The "Bolt Series" began with the desire to sublimate the all-thread bolt, an industrial material, into an objet d'art. By using bolts and nuts in everyday objects such as chairs, cigar cases, hangers, ballpoint pens, and file boxes, we have given them new aesthetic value.

Although inorganic and industrial, its appearance is nothing short of beautiful. . It may be a new kind of art that goes beyond the pursuit of beauty for its own sake.

The exhibition will run from Thursday, September 21 to Sunday, September 24.
