These "Dr. Martens" shoes look different from the usual, don't you think?
As you can see from the toe, it is not the usual rounded, but angular.
This is actually the new "QUAD SQUARED TOE PACK", a reference to the archives of the 70's. It is both classic and modern, and it is strange how a slight change in toe shape can change the atmosphere of a shoe.
The lineup includes a total of five pairs. They all retain the iconic yellow stitching.
Clockwise from top left: "1490 QUAD SQUARED 10 HALL BOOTS" ¥39,600, "2976 HI QUAD SQUARED Chelsea Boots" ¥39,600, "1461 QUAD SQUARED 3 HALL SHOE" ¥30,800, "PENTON BEX SQUARE loafer" ¥29,700, "BEX SQUARED 5-hole shoes" ¥29,700
The 10-hole "1490 Boots" and the 3-hole "1461 Shoes" have larger-than-usual sized logo eyelets. These two pairs and the "2976 Chelsea Boots" are fashioned with glossy smooth leather uppers and a high 1.85" (4.7 cm) "QUAD RETRO" sole.
On the other hand, the "5-hole shoes" and "loafers" feature hair-on leather on the front. They are designed to fit in naturally with casual adult styles.
The "QUAD SQUARED TOE PACK" series covers a wide range of styles from street to traditional. The usual "Dr. Martens" shoes are good, but these will definitely bring a change to your fall/winter outfits.
