BEAMS has rearranged the Levi's archives from the 1940s. The release of this gem truly embodies the aesthetics of subtraction.

For the fourth time, BEAMS has teamed up with Levi's®, a staple of American style.

Continuing from the previous "Super Wide Collection," the new collection is based on the Levi's® archives from the 1940s, but with a modern twist.

With a view to the 1940's, when the production process of clothing was as waste-free as possible due to the control of commodities, both designers focused on "simple and elegant" craftsmanship to complete this collection.

The thick 16-ounce selvedge denim is made of a fabric with orange stitching, the corporate color of BEAMS, instead of the red stitching commonly known as "red ear" stitching.

The jacket has been reduced to four front shank buttons and also eliminated the pocket flaps. The design is minimalist.

The pants faithfully reproduce the details of the 501® from 1944, including the olive herringbone pocket lining and donut buttons. The same orange-stitched selvedge denim is used.

Of special note are the two iconic Levi's® super-wide leather patches on both items. The "BEAMS" logo is also engraved on the patches.

The front is plain, but the back is printed with the logos of both brands as proof of the tag team. It is made with a thick body and dry texture, and has a heavy finish that is as heavy as denim.

The items will be available for limited pre-sale at BEAMS JAPAN Shinjuku, BEAMS JAPAN Shibuya, and BEAMS JAPAN Kyoto from January 2 (Tue.).
