The sneaker store in Ueno is "mita sneakers" and the apparel brand from Kuramae is "KEBOZ". Both are based in East Tokyo, and by extension, Taito City, and have teamed up for the first time. On June 8 (Sat), an exclusive model based on ASICS SportStyle's flagship "GEL-LYTE lll" will be released.
ASICS SportStyle GEL-LYTE III OG "TAITO" "KEBOZ x mita sneakers" ¥19,800
This work has been brushed up from a local perspective. The characteristic split tongue structure that divides the tongue vertically into two parts is retained, with a zip in the cut, and the laces are arranged in a quick-lace system with a stopper. In addition, by adopting the piping of reflective material, has been updated visibility as well as comfort.
Another key point is the color palette, which is inspired by the famous landmarks of Taito City. The colors inspired by the cherry blossoms in Ueno Zoological Park, the Sumida River, and Sensoji Temple are expressed in a variety of materials throughout the shoe. The "Tokyo Kai" and "TAITO" patches on the shoe tan are also not to be missed.
Designed by three Japan-based designers with a distinctly East Tokyo flavor. This work, which fully demonstrates regional characteristics, will be available at some stores, including "mita sneakers" and "kebozu".
