And, "It's a lot more complicated than that. Here are three elements that the Nike design team used in the Nike Rosi 2.
1) Comfort felt underfoot: stability, support and cushioning achieved by leveraging research from NSRL( Nike Sports Research Labs )
Originally, the insole (of the footwear) was meant to hide the seams on the soles. But now it is the first element of the cushioning system." explains Larsi. To provide the ultimate in comfort for the sole, the Nike Rosi 2 combines an insole made of two different densities of shape memory foam with an innovative waffle pattern outsole that allows each element to move independently for increased flexibility. In addition, for all-day comfort, the new midsole combines three different densities of IU material to provide the right firmness and density for each area.
2) Upper comfort: the importance of a curvilinear, movement-responsive fit
Footwear (worn all day) should be like a comfortable glove for the foot." Larsi insists. Nike's designers achieve this through the use of technologically engineered materials. For the Nike Rosi 2, a Flyknit upper that easily conforms to the shape of the wearer's foot is used, with an uneven construction to enhance flexibility, while a layer of foam improves the fit.
3) Lasting comfort: resilient sole
If our feet are comfortable at the end of a busy day, that means we did a good job." says Larsi. In addition to the comfort of the soles and uppers, footwear worn throughout the day must be able to handle daytime activities. After hours of wear, the feet swell and the temperature inside the shoe increases. The Nike Rosi 2 provides proper support as well as elasticity and breathability to alleviate these practical problems.
