It all started with Jun Murakami's Huinamu blog.Posted in ArticlesIt was. As it turns out, we found some great music.
The artist described in the article, Sasai Kishibe, is an active high school girl singer based in Sendai, but don't underestimate her ability just because she is young. First of all, please take a look at the PV of her song that was recently released.
A beautiful, clear voice. Straightforward, powerful, and expressive singing. Seeing her sing, I somehow understood why Jun Murakami was pushing her. It was a single guitar that brought Ms. Kishibe and Mr. Murakami together.
I was talking to various people about giving away my vintage guitar that I no longer played, and Hisanori Murakami of "Made in Japan" told me that he had an acquaintance who wanted a guitar. When I asked him about the details, he told me that his niece wanted to sing while playing the guitar. I felt something dramatic about that story. The guitar was a Gibson "Hummingbird" model. I thought to myself, "He's flown to a good place.
The guitar, named for the hummingbird engraving on the pickguard, is one of those fine, expensive guitars that even music stores shake their hands at. With such an instrument in hand, she created one demo. When Ms. Murakami heard it, she was convinced that she was the real thing.
At the impressionable age of 15, she is passionate about guitar and singing without paying attention to anything else. I wanted to watch over her closely, because that's what adults did for me when I was a teenager. I wanted to watch over her closely, because that's what adults did for me when I was a teenager. Because I was allowed to see the real thing in every world. And I learned that no matter where you go in the world, you have to decide and create your own values. She is currently unaffiliated, but I want to support her until she decides somewhere else.
As if in resonance with Ms. Murakami's feelings, various adults are helping her. Hisanori Murakami and Hideaki Aihara of "Made in GM Japan," who are the ones who connected Ms. Murakami and Mr. Kishibe, and filmmaker Junya Oba, who was also drawn to her singing. They call themselves "Patchworks" and support her activities.
We are adults, and of course work is important to us, but we also want to support her without it. Such a desire will ultimately benefit her. I hope that those who feel the same way will join us. In particular, it would be reassuring to have someone who is strong in fields such as acoustics," said Jun Murakami.

Ms. Kishibe has the magnetism to involve many people in this way. She herself describes herself as an ordinary high school girl.
I go to school every day from Monday to Friday, and I practice guitar and singing all week long, including weekends. I have loved music for as long as I can remember and have always been humming some melody. I decided I wanted to be an artist when I was 10 years old. After the earthquake disaster, I thought about what I could do. Then I decided that I wanted to sing songs to cheer people up.
Although only 10 years old at the time, Ms. Kishibe made this decision with a strong will. As if to express this feeling, she always looks straight ahead and sings strongly.
My favorite phrase is "giving it my all. I want to cherish each day and each moment, and I always want to give it my all. I always try to be serious, whether at school, at play, or in my music.

We interviewed Ms. Kishibe on the day of her one-woman live concert. With a guitar slung over her shoulder, Ms. Kishibe was not afraid to show her power in front of a large audience and deliver the message she wanted to convey with her melodies. I am sure that many audience members were encouraged by her appearance.
In this concert, I performed about 20 songs, including my own original songs and cover songs. I have about 10 original songs in my repertoire. I keep in my memory the melody of a phrase that comes to me in my daily life and let it grow into a song, just like watering a seedling slowly. Sometimes I think of the lyrics first and then add the melody to them. I sing mostly about everyday life. For covers, I sing songs by artists I respect. Sheena Ringo, Vanessa Carlton, Adele, etc." (Sasai Kishibe)

In addition to her own original songs, Ms. Kishibe performed a wide range of songs from Japanese and international artists. She had an aura of an artist, and it was impressive to see her singing with a serious look in her eyes while looking at the audience.
I want to enjoy the live show with the audience, not one-way traffic. In my original songs, I put everyday feelings such as love and gratitude to my family into the lyrics. I want people to pay attention not only to the music itself and the way I sing, but also to the lyrics of the songs.
She says this with a shy laugh. When I asked her, "What kind of artist do you want to be eventually?" I asked her, "What kind of artist do you want to be in the future?
My goal is to be a long-lasting artist, not to make CDs and sell a lot of them, but to continue to be active as a singer long after I become a grandmother. I want to continue to be a singer even after I become a grandmother. And I want to deliver my songs to the world. I am also writing songs in English, and I want to be an artist who is active in the world. And I want to stand on the same stage as the artists I respect.

After successfully completing the live performance, she was impressive in the way she talked with fans and took pictures with them, showing her high school student-like personality, while politely saying "Thank you" to each and every customer with gratitude.
Sasai Kishibe is an artist who faces her music with sincerity and positivity. She is still young, and although she is at an age when many things are shaking, I was able to sense through one interview and one live performance that she herself is a singer with a strong will and a core that is so straightforward that you cannot feel any such wavering.
What kind of path will she take in the future and what kind of figure will she grow into? I recommend you to check it out as soon as possible. If you find out, she may become an extraordinary big artist.
