Trail running has been rapidly gaining popularity in recent years. Running on rough terrain surrounded by nature, or so-called trails, rather than on paved roads, the sport is attracting increasing attention as a sport that condenses the appeal of both the outdoors and running.
A new trail running event will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2012.Southern Alps Mountain Marathon".
The race, set in Kawane Honmachi in the Southern Alps, features a course that offers beautiful mountain scenery as well as views of local tea plantations and the Oigawa Railway's steam locomotive, allowing participants to enjoy nature and see the highlights of the town.
In addition to the "Camp in TRAIL" style, six campgrounds in Kawane Honmachi will be available for use as lodging facilities, and a festival will be held the day before the event at Mitsuboshi Auto Campground. A wide variety of manufacturers will set up booths, selling limited edition items for the event, running and outdoor goods, as well as buffet-style barbeques (for a fee) and talk shows.
This is truly a fascinating race event where you can enjoy the natural attractions of Kawane Honmachi over two days. Are you hungry for nature? Please take this opportunity to enter. The Southern Alps will heal your heart!
