Subsequence" is a magazine that goes against the trend of the declining print media and carefully collects the crafts and culture that lie dormant in the world. Subsequence is published by Cubism, which also produces "visvim. Subsequence is known for its luxurious 160 all-color pages, almost B4 in size, and is bilingual in Japanese and English.

The small personal histories that seem to be disappearing at any moment are being confirmed and passed on among the few people who remember them. This is the nuance of the editing process.
In the special feature "Reminiscing over you," we interview a potter from California, USA during the mid-century, a woman who loved and continued to document Mexican folk art, and a family who inherited a collection of farm tools in south-central France. It focuses on the stories that exist in their hearts.
Other features include a tour of old houses in Tokyo with Hiroki Nakamura of " VISVIM " and a report on the charms of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Northern California, as told by the people who live there.
Creators participating in this issue include Kyohei Sakaguchi, Samuel Bradley & Stephen Mann, Gentaro Ishizuka, Nakaban, Kou Tsurumi, Auto Naito, and Kelsey Nakamura.
The sale will start on Saturday, September 7. It will be available at all VISVIM stores, online stores, and select stores.
In conjunction with the publication, the event "Subsequence Salon vol. 4" will be held at the VISVIM GENERAL STORE / VISVIM GALLERY in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
With the cooperation of photographer Samuel Bradley, who has been in charge of the fashion pages of VISVIM and its women's line WMV since the first issue, and stylist Stephen Mann, a selection of photos that have appeared in Subsequence will be on display and for sale. The exhibition will include a selection of photographs, including other cuts, that have appeared in "Subsequence".
