The limited-quantity cut-and-sew and blanket were launched at the Louis Vuitton Dover Street Market GINZA store on August 4, 2012. These two items are inspired by Kim Jones' first collection for Louis Vuitton, the Spring/Summer 2012 season. The "Masai" theme of the season was also highlighted by the launch of the "Damier Masai Check," a redesign of Louis Vuitton's iconic "Damier" design.
The cutaways and blankets pictured use a reinterpretation of the "Damier Masai Check" design in black and gray colors. The crew-neck cut-and-sew is available in six sizes, from XS to XXL. The soft-to-the-touch double-faced cotton fabric is used, and the "Damier Masai checks" applied in jacquard all over the fabric are eye-catching. The blanket is a piece that can also be used as a large-sized stole. This item will definitely be an active item this fall/winter season.
