After working as a designer for a number of apparel brands, Mr. Takuzo Otani, the director of MASTERPLAN, established the design office "MASTERPLAN" after working for "Number Nine" under Takahiro Miyashita as an atelier general manager for 7 years from 2003, and after working for "Ron Herman". After working for Ron Herman, he established the design office "MASTERPLAN".
Blank's design philosophy is to "remove the primitive charm of the bag. With Otani's own experience in fashion as a background, he removes excess elements, leaving only the good parts to reveal the "icon (prototype) of the bag". The brand aims to create a style that moves freely between street, mode, and business scenes, and will build a masculine world view centered on monotone colors.
Although the number of models is still small for the start of the 2017 SS, the world view has already been established, as expected.
Blank's pop-up tour will be held at Hankyu Men's in Osaka and Tokyo. In Osaka, the popular new bag collection will be on display, and in Tokyo, a large number of models will be lined up, including pre-sale items from the apparel collection. During the pop-up period, the first 50 customers to make a purchase will receive an original glass holder to commemorate this pop-up.
