LACOSTE will launch a project specializing in polo shirts.
The name is Lacoste Polo Shirt Laboratory.
It involves working with various creators to create polo shirts, a staple of the brand.
POGGY (Motofumi Ogi) was selected as the first collaborator.
Mr. Poggy says, "Until now, I have only worn Lacoste polo shirts, including vintage L.12.12. When I was asked to create an "ideal polo shirt," I first thought of a polo shirt that could be worn with a tie. This time, when we were asked to create an "ideal polo shirt," we first thought of a polo shirt that could be worn with a tie. In addition, I had some concerns about matching "L.12.12" to my own style, so I wanted to create something that would resolve those concerns.
And what was born were three pieces with a pedestal collar.
Each ¥27,500
The collar is fine-tuned so that the necklace he always wears is visible when unbuttoned. Another key point is that when tucked out with a casual tie style, the garment is not too long and has a relaxed body width.
There are three colors: garment-dyed beige and black, plus white. All are tagged "Lacoste Poloshirt Laboratory by Poggy".
The visuals are witty, and POGGY himself makes a nice appearance.
A limited number of copies of this work will be available at the Lacoste Harajuku store from September 27 (Friday).
