Auralee from Japan and Tekla from Copenhagen. The first collaboration between Auralee in Japan and Tekla in Copenhagen was connected by a "hot spring".

I believe that the benefits of hot springs for people extend not only to the body but also to the spirit.

AURALEE” and “Tekla (TEKLA)I thought about this when we collaborated on the "MARUZA" project.

Tekla is a homeware brand founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2017. Inspired by art and architecture, the designs are intuitive and timeless, yet functional.

This is the first time for Auralee to collaborate on a collection. The idea for the items came from the uniquely Japanese culture of "Onsen" (hot springs). At first glance, this theme may seem somewhat unconnected to fashion, but it can be interpreted in this way by both brands.

Down Jacket ¥132,000

Robe Coat ¥143,000

Onsen Towel ¥6,600

Bath Towel ¥11,000

Bath Mat ¥8,800

Long-sleeved Shirt ¥36,850

Pants ¥31,900

Boxers ¥11,000

Night Cap ¥30,800

Night Socks ¥13,200

The line of items includes towels, sleepwear, outerwear, and knit accessories. Inspired by the experience of taking a hot spring bath on a cold night and bringing back the cozy warmth.

Auralee's signature organic cotton poplin and terry are used for sleepwear and towels, while the highest quality fabrics are used for outerwear.

This collection was designed based on the experience of being in a hot spring resort rich in nature. The colors are directly inspired by the flow of water in the hot springs, moss illuminated by the light, trees in winter, and snow. It is not direct in any way, but has a modesty that makes you imagine.

The products will be on sale from October 30 (Wed.) at Auralee's directly-managed stores, online stores, and limited-edition stores. In conjunction with this collaboration, a limited-time pop-up store will be held at Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building on the first floor for promotion. The products will also be on sale globally at Tekla's directly-operated stores in Copenhagen, online stores, and other limited stores.

Incidentally, hot spring culture is not only prevalent in Japan, but also in the Scandinavian Peninsula, including Copenhagen. The bathing culture that both brands cherished in their respective countries intersect through this collaboration, presenting a new view.

Please welcome the new season with these items that will warm your heart and warm your soul, just like when you are soaking in a hot spring.

Finally, please take a moment to comment on the work of both designers.

We are proud to combine the expertise and shared values of both brands to present a unique everyday collection centered around the culture of bathing." - Charlie Hedin, Creative Director, Tekla

I am very happy that this collaboration, which started as a spontaneous conversation, has turned into a special project. I personally love baths and hot springs, and it was a special experience for me to see how this culture inspired both brands to develop this into a collection. - Ryota Iwai, AURALEE Designer
