The Speedmaster Pilot joins the Speedmaster family, which was created in 1957.
The Dot Over 90 and Dot Diagonal to 70 are the same details, but with a touch of the pilot's name in some key places. The sub-dials are the symbolic part of the watch: the one at 3 o'clock is a fuel consumption indicator set in the cockpit of an aircraft, while the one at 9 o'clock is inspired by a target sight indicator.
The functionality, updated with state-of-the-art technology, is impeccable. Whether it is the grained matte black dial or the white Super-LumiNova indexes that emit a green light, every component of this watch is designed to ensure excellent legibility even when flying at night.
Water resistance reached 100 meters, more than twice that of the models of yesteryear. The caseback proudly displays the traditional seahorse medallion and 100m/330ft (the numerical value indicating the depth of the water).
The movement is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900, approved by METAS (Swiss Federal Office of Metrology and Accreditation).
But the most impressive feature of this watch is that the movement is housed in a compact body measuring 40.85 mm, which fits comfortably on our wrists. It is sure to become a subtle accent on your cuff.
The two bands are a stainless steel bracelet with patented comfort release system and a NATO strap made of Kevlar ®︎ fiber.
