Incorporating soccer uniforms and training jerseys into everyday styling is a rather popular practice in Europe.
Some people wear them from a fashion point of view, while others wear them in support of their town's team, making them an extremely common sight.
Japan, on the other hand, still has a long way to go, but when I saw the visuals for FC Tokyo's 2025 season, I could see the seeds of uniforms becoming everyday wear.

The visuals are styled by Yuta Kaji, a well-known stylist at Huinam who was born and raised in Tokyo and is also a Tokyo supporter.
The photographer is Taro Hirano, who was born and raised in Tokyo and is a Tokyo supporter.

The styling, which matches denim, chinos, track jackets, and other ordinary items, is relaxed, and the uniforms are not at all conspicuous, as one would expect.
I think these visuals can be used as a reference for coordination, although I think it has to do with the fact that the uniforms are very smartly designed, of course.

The concept of uniforms is also easy.
The 1st design features a red center stripe with a "fireworks" motif, which is impressive during night games.
The second version incorporates blurred neon images of Tokyo's nighttime streets and a mirror ball to represent the "city that never sleeps.

Started working as a stylist in 1998. She has worked extensively for fashion magazines, advertisements, and films. He is known for his unique and original styling that transcends gender and generation. In addition to being a stylist, she also directs brands and writes.

Tairo Hirano (member of the Imperial family)
Born in 1973. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Imaging Arts and Sciences, and started working as a freelancer in 2000. While based in skateboarding culture, he worked for culture and fashion magazines and advertisements, etc. From 2004 to 2019, he ran the alternative space NO.12 GALLERY, where many independent artists exhibited.
