Bali, Indonesia is known as one of the most popular resort destinations in the world. The image that comes to mind is that of beautiful seas and beaches, magnificent nature, and ancient ruins, but in fact, Bali is also a sacred place where yoga and meditation are actively practiced.
The bustling atmosphere of a resort and the tranquility of a spiritual world. These two aspects of the region will be expressed through the Spring/Summer 2013 collection by "Liberaiders".
The season theme is "quiet the mind and the soul will speak. Director Mei Yong explains why Bali was chosen as the setting.
I was born on the continent and first came into contact with island cultures when I came to Japan, and I have been interested in such things since that time. At the time, I was surrounded by many surfers, so I had a strong image of Bali as a surfing spot, but the reason why I chose Bali as my theme for this project is because as I got older, I naturally became more interested in the spiritual world. As I researched this culture, I learned that Bali is not only a surfing spot, as I had envisioned in my youth, but also a sacred place for yoga, meditation, etc. I decided to use Bali as the theme for "Liberaders".
This is not the Bali that everyone knows, but the real Bali as seen by actually visiting the place and interacting with the local people. This item is a record of that trip.

The 8.0 oz. hoodie has a vintage frosted finish. Adorning the back is a graphic that expresses the importance of Zen teachings and the idea of mindfulness. The message around it reads, "The next message you need is always right where you are." This piece graphically represents the experience of meditation in Bali.

This parka has the words "OPEN YOUR NEW WORLD" and related graphics on the back. The design is based on the philosophy of yoga, which is to look at oneself and open a new door to the world.
VINTAGE WASH CREWNECK ¥24,200 each
This sweatshirt is inspired by the West Coast style of the 80's and has a vintage fade finish. The brand's slogan, "Destination Unknown," is printed like a checkered pattern on both sleeves, creating a piece with a playful feel.
COMPOSTION CREWNECK ¥24,200 each
This sweatshirt also features the same vintage processing, but this one is decorated with a graphic that pays homage to a certain band. The ribbed ends of the collar and cuffs are also damaged, making this item feel connected to the music that the "Liberaders" cherish.
HANDWRITING PRINT CREWNECK ¥24,200 each
This sweatshirt features hand-drawn "Liberaders" motifs scattered throughout. The homage is to the old skate culture of the 80s. The faded body and the damage to the collar and cuffs give the finished product a warm feeling, as if someone has been wearing it with care.
These five sweatshirts and parkas will line up in the 1st drop of the "Liberaders" Spring/Summer 25 collection, completed on the theme of Bali. They will go on sale on January 31 (Fri.).
