Maison Margiela's new sneakers "Splinters" are said to be inspired by 1960s sports shoes.
The sleek form, rolled-up sides, and rubber sole with spike-pin-like protrusions are certainly reminiscent of the running shoes of yesteryear.
A pair of green dyed polyester crossed with yellow suede and blue smooth leather is perfect for the upcoming festive season. For versatility, go for the black and white pair. This one has a cotton base.
The former model is only available at "Maison Margiela Omotesando.
The "replica" sneaker based on the German trainer is a good example, but the sneakers made by Maison Margiela are all extremely brilliant.
