The world of waxblow art is attractive because it is easy to understand. No matter how much graphic satire and irony are mixed in behind the scenes, one can't help but be drawn to the humorous illustrations without worrying about how difficult they are. An art exhibition by NAOYA, who is active on the stage of such lowbrow art, will be held from September 8 (Fri.) at theACME FurnitureThe event will be held at the Shibuya store in Shibuya, Tokyo.

This is the first exhibition of his career. The exhibition will feature a variety of witty works depicting "monsters" spending time with furniture from Acme Furniture. He will also unveil a new work of his own, created especially for this event.
There will also be hand-painted lampshades and special merchandise incorporating the illustrations for sale.
A reception will be held on Friday the 8th from 6pm to 9pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, and since NAOYA will be in the gallery on Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th, it would be a great opportunity to talk directly with him about his work and get even closer to the world of waxblow art.
