adidas Originals, a street luxury brand with its roots in Chicano culture, has announced the launch of a new line of products.WILLY CHAVARRIAThe collection is now on sale.
Chicano is a designation for Mexican-Americans. They have a unique culture derived from their lifestyle, such as the style of wearing oversized workwear and low-rider car customization. This collection, which evokes such Chicano culture, includes two types of sneakers and a wide variety of apparel.
Both sneakers were based on the "Jabber" sneaker created in 1978 for legendary basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The "Jabber Row" embodies the concept of "powerful simplicity" by using jet black, the signature color of the Willie Chavarria brand, as the base color, and red for the three stripes and logo. The folded back shoe tongue hangs slightly to the side for a bit of playfulness.

The apparel is based on functional athletic wear from Adidas Originals. The logo of "Willy Chavarria" and the rose and trefoil logos are boldly embroidered, creating a strong presence.
On the occasion of this collaboration, designer Willie Chavarria said

I am so happy to be able to share this iconic brand in a style that reflects who we were when we were younger and how we dress today. Working on this project in Los Angeles with my closest friends and family members was a powerful experience that has touched me on a deep personal level.
