Have you ever heard of a shoe brand called "premio gordo"?
The brand was launched in 2015 by designer Tomoko Kabezumatsu under the concept of "shoes that beautify the wearer and the space they occupy.
It is a wonderful pair that embodies the concept of elegance in every possible way that is worth exploring.
The brand's popular models are now available for order.WILD LIFE TAILOR EbisuThe event will be held at the
Let me introduce each of them.
Amanusa (Single Monk)
This is a single monk with a U-line sewn together using the "right angle" technique, an advanced technique that sews the leather together in cross section without penetrating the surface of the leather with a needle.
The decorative grooves on the top of the welt are roughened to express friendliness, and the moderate rounded edge of the welt gives a soft impression.
It is characterized by the unique three-dimensionality created by delicate handwork.
Kerry (boots)
Next is a side gore boot tailored with the Mackay method, which offers a good return on investment. The upper is made of rustic calf leather with a natural grain and a soft touch. The leather is only joined at the heel and under the inner elastic, and the outer elastic is seamless. By eliminating as many joints as possible, continuity is maintained and the beauty of the leather is not compromised.
In addition, the uppers and soles are polished to the optimum degree to match the texture of the uppers, creating a three-dimensional effect in a single color of black shoe.
Ramon (V-chip)
This is the 1st model for men. The ( and ) decorative grooves are hand-inscribed one by one to match the fine pitch of the stitching, giving this pair a human touch.
A leather shank is placed in the sole of the shoe to give a three-dimensional effect and strength, and a technique called "Tsumedashi" is used to give a slight three-dimensional appearance to the edge of the shoe.
Sans (loafer)
The loafer has a slightly wider opening that allows you to enjoy coordinating it with socks, and the U line has a slender look with a technique called "drop mocca" for a clean appearance.
The shoe is hand-applied by skilled craftsmen, who closely follow the wooden form of the shoe while assessing the direction of leather stretch and strength.
Fala (slip-on)
The model name was taken from the name of a group of young Portuguese architectural designers. It is a pair that incorporates the brand's interpretation of "occasional discomfort" found in their architecture.
For example, the two hand-stitched threads on the side of the minimalist design. This is not an attempt to create a sense of handcraftsmanship, but rather an element of the shoes that reflects a longing for the discomfort of a single piece of wood that mysteriously crosses into the stark white and black space of the "Fala" collection.
In order to respect the individuality of these shoes, which do not lend themselves to categorization, they are available in a range of sizes without gender distinction. The manufacturing process is called "Bolognese" and we do not have soles in the front part of the toes, so that the foot is wrapped around the shoe.
Soren (cross sandal)
Finally, the cross sandals incorporate elements that we found interesting in our exposure to the shoemaking process. In most soling craftsmen's workshops, there are usually leather cuttings scattered around.
The scraps like art pieces that fall to the ground when the craftsman carefully cuts around the excess silos with a knife are usually laid with insoles, so there are few occasions to see their change over time, but this model creates a scene in which the shoes' own sweat stains become the design of the shoes.
So, the brand and shoes are filled with a lot of care and love, but to be honest, even this is a lot of cutting down.
