The new sandals are running sandals, and they can be used in any location, both in the city and in nature. Let's take a closer look.

Its name is the Aventrail R2T. The model is said to combine the openness of a sandal with the propulsive power of a trail run, allowing you to run from the asphalt in the city to small paths in the forest to unpaved gravel with a single step.

The secret lies in three functions.

First, the sole structure. The top sole is embedded in a hollowed-out midsole, creating a sole structure that wraps around the foot. This makes them lightweight, stable, and comfortable to wear, and they do not shift back and forth from side to side even when the foot is in motion.

Incidentally, the brand's proprietary foam called "LITE- COMF® midsole" is used, which is soft and cushioned yet lightweight. You can run comfortably while reducing the burden on your feet.

Next, the W-strap strap system. It holds the instep, ankle, and heel of the foot firmly in place at three points. Each strap can be adjusted individually with a hook and loop fastener, making it smooth to put on and take off. In addition, the backs of the straps are made of highly breathable neoprene mesh, so they are comfortable even with bare feet, and they also reduce the risk of getting damp while running.

The outsole is made of the brand's own high-performance rubber, Spider Rubber®, and boasts a high level of gripping power. It can grip the ground firmly even on wet or slippery surfaces, so you don't have to worry.

Also of note is the asymmetrical lug pattern that separates the roles of the inner and outer lugs of the outsole. The inner lugs are shaped to firmly grip the ground on uneven terrain such as dirt or gravel, while the outer lugs are placed around the sole to enhance the stability of landing on the road surface. The dual-sided sole design allows for driving performance that seamlessly connects city and nature.

Since last season, Teva has been developing a number of items that advocate the new norm of "sandals that can be run in," and this is one of them. The "Aventrail R2T" is one of them.
