The name "Outil" means "tool" in French, and is derived from designer Yuya Uta's concept of clothing as "a tool made for an individual purpose.
The products are made in France or Japan, depending on the product, using carefully selected production backgrounds and traditional techniques. The name of each product is named after a place that the designer has a special place in his heart or a place near the factory where the product is produced. The passion and pursuit of making clothes is evident in every detail.
The pop-up store "Uti" is now open.BLOOM&BRANCH AOYAMAThe event will be held at the "MARCH 31st, 2012" in Tokyo. In addition to the regular collection, special order items will be released.
Special order TRICOT CONCARNEAU Black ¥14,000+TAX
Special order TRICOT CONCARNEAU Rose ¥14,000+TAX
Special order TRICOT CONCARNEAU Marron ¥14,000+TAX
Bloom and Branch's color-specific order is based on a reproduction of a zitane blue basque shirt that was released about 20 years ago by the long-established French company Luminore. Black, rose, and maroon. Each of these shirts will slowly change its hue as it is worn.
Special order PANTALON LOMOGES ¥26,000+TAX
Based on the French military pants of the 1960s, these pants retain details such as the adjustable belts on both sides of the waist and the double-edged edge of the front pockets. For this special order, we used logwood as the dye and hand-dyed them to reproduce the vintage black indigo. The black indigo color will fade and age well.
We hope you will visit the store to experience the philosophy of "Uti," which is to trace its roots, wear it, and nurture it. All special-order items will go on sale on September 16 (Sat), the first day of the exhibition. The clothes are designed to be one of the triggers to accept the passage of time in a positive way.
