Vol. 2 Old swimsuits.
Swimsuit," which I use in my company name, means a swimsuit.
It would be a long story to tell you how I started collecting, so I will leave it at that, but I don't think any other sportswear has evolved so much in its long history.
In recent years, Speedo has developed a high-tech material called Laser Racer, which has caused a rush of records and controversy, but in the early 1900s, swimsuits made of this kind of wool were used.
It is a shape that reminds me of "Guri to Gura," and I have been fascinated by its cuteness for about 12 years. The ones I collect are mainly from the United States. As I dug through various photos and other documents from that time, I discovered that there were many different designs, and my collection gradually grew.

The most expensive of these items are those with such prints and stencils. I think they have the same value as sweatshirts and other used clothing.
In prewar America, there was a heated swimming pool facility called a "bathhouse," and these were used for rental, with the logo of the facility printed on them. The details of the print, such as the coloring and the pocket for a key at the base of the thighs, vary widely and are very collectible.
The materials and patterns are also very interesting to see in older items.
