This is the first time for you to participate in Fuji Rock. What kind of image did you have of Fuji Rock before?
Mica: I had an image that it was more of a gathering of young people. However, when I arrived, I was surprised to find that there was actually a wide range of people from all walks of life. Also, there are many inbound visitors. I have many friends from China and other Asian countries, and I bumped into them at the festival. It is not so much that I go to festivals because I like them, but rather that I enjoy the music of the individual artists that I am interested in. Maybe that's the appeal of coming all the way across borders to Fuji Rock.
Why did you participate this time?
Mica: An acquaintance was at this year's Fuji Rock and invited me to come. Also, I have not been to many summer vacation-like events. I thought that if I went to Fuji Rock, I would be able to experience something like a summer vacation.
How did you spend your day at Fuji Rock?
Mica: I left Tokyo around 7:00 a.m. and arrived at the venue before noon. I walked around the venue rather than watching the concert. I spent the time and space carefully. I also like to eat, so I ate tonkatsu (pork cutlet). ......
I think the festival food is one of the pleasures of Fuji Rock, isn't it?
Mica: I ate and drank all day long. Among other things, the curry I had at Pyramid Garden was so shockingly delicious that I ate it twice in one day (laughs). (Laughs.) I like calm places, so when I look back, I spent most of my time at Pyramid Garden.
The crepes also looked delicious.
Mica: It was delicious, but the heat melted the ice cream topping. ...... If I were to open a store, I would probably make a sugar crepe type. They are popular right now, and they are easy to operate, so I think it would shorten the time customers spend in line.
I guess you have a unique point of view as you are also in the restaurant business. If you were to open a stall at Fuji Rock, what kind of food would you serve?
Mica: The "Ni-Na-Na Cafe" that I produce has opened at various festivals, and considering the ease of operation, the quality of taste, and the fact that not many people dislike it, curry is a versatile food. Curry is delicious and can be served quickly.
Also, our curry has a good reputation. It is made by a French chef who used to work at a first-class hotel. His curry emphasizes ingredients that are appropriate for the season. At the moment, we serve curry with summer vegetables, which is really delicious.
Please tell us about your outfit for the day. You are wearing Keen's "Targhee IV" shoes.
Mica: I thought the silhouette was cool and they simply look easy to walk in. And I tend to choose mid-cut or high-cut shoes because of their leg-lengthening effect. I don't think I'm the type of person who looks good in sneakers, but I thought I could take these to a classic.

The ethical manufacturing method that does not use adhesives is applied while increasing durability, while providing comfort and a snug fit to the foot. This model is a collaboration with women's outdoor brand "HIKERKIND.
It suits you well.
Mica: My friends who met me at the event complimented me on my shoes, saying, "What a pair! Everyone said they wanted them.
What kind of shoes would you like to wear at the festival?
Mica: I am not the type of person who chooses shoes with much concern for TPO and the like, but I still think that ease of walking and water resistance are important.
What other occasions would you recommend wearing the Targhee IV other than festivals?
Mica: Mountain climbing. Whenever I go abroad, I always make it a habit to climb the local mountains. When I went to Korea the other day, I took these "Targhee IVs" with me and used them for mountain climbing. It was very easy to wear.
