The democratization of creativity as seen in Adobe MAX 2025.
In the early 1980s, Steve Jobs began investing in Adobe software. Since then, Adobe software has continued to revolutionize the design world together with Apple. Today, Adobe's software has such an overwhelming share of the market that it is safe to say that there is not a single creator in the world who does not use it.
However, as mentioned at the beginning of this article, the impression has been that it was intended for professionals. In recent years, however, with the spread of smartphones and the rise of social networking services, everyone has a place to communicate, and Adobe has been strengthening its mobile version of its apps.
In February, Adobe Photoshop mobile version, an image processing and design application, was released, followed in June by Adobe Firefly mobile version, which specializes in generative AI, and in September by Adobe Premiere mobile version, a video editing application. With the addition of the AI functionality, it's already a great deal of fun.
At the recent Adobe MAX 2025, a series of announcements were made that will accelerate the democratization of creativity. First of all, we would like to share with you a few of them.
Adobe MAX 2025 was held in Los Angeles, USA, in October 2025. This annual event attracts about 10,000 creators and creative industry professionals from all over the world. At the event, new features are announced, keynotes are given by creators, and there is a lot to learn. There is also the MAX Sneaks, where features under research are presented and the amount of applause is used to decide which features will be included in Adobe products the following year, and in recent years there has also been an AI technology contest.
Here, exchanging information with other creators is one of the fun parts of the event. The mingle at the exchange sessions is always a great success. Sessions and workshops are a great way to learn the how-to's of the latest technology, but there is more value than that. Creators who have the same problems meet each other, become friends, and create a relationship where they can send messages to each other. It is not unusual for new work to be born from this. This is how a community of creators is created.
By the way, the announcement that caused the most excitement at the event was the partnership with YouTube. From now on, you will be able to create YouTube shorts with the Premiere mobile version and publish them immediately. The templates are huge, and even a simple vlog can be made into a full-fledged short.
