Tour Shinsaibashi Parco on its 5th anniversary.
This concludes the tour of Shinsaibashi Parco, which celebrated its 5th anniversary by two members of the Huinamu editorial staff.
Lastly, what were your impressions of Shinsaibashi Parco over the two days you were there?
Takeda: I was here last time, but at that time, I was basically visiting mainly clothing stores. So I had experienced the greatness of "Shinsaibashi PARCO" as a fashion facility. This time, on the other hand, I was able to learn a lot about how much effort is being put into culture, as well as fashion, and that was fun.
Tsuneshige: It is true that when we hear the word "PARCO," we tend to associate it with fashion, but Hiroshi Fujiwara's lecture and the advertising exhibits reminded us that PARCO is a facility that transmits a large framework of culture. I was also impressed by the fact that it pays close attention to independent things, which I think is unique to Parco.
Takeda: So is "VOU/Stick," and it's also connected to underground club culture. The DJ events on each floor would not normally be allowed. There must be a lot of people who want to do something interesting.
Tsuneshige: I also felt that it was important to have customers in Osaka who would tolerate and enjoy that kind of fun.
During the two days, I once again felt the energy that is unique to Shinsaibashi PARCO. Shinsaibashi PARCO continues to propose new values while respecting both the cutting edge and the local character of Osaka. I look forward to the next five years.
