――You have announced that you plan to step down as president in April 2027. Including new ventures like *BEAMS SPORTS*, what would you like to pass on to the next generation of *BEAMS*?
Shitara: When the time comes for a generational transition, I plan to entrust the company with all aspects of business operations, management, and human resources. At the same time, I want to actively pass on the ideas and professional connections I’ve built up over the years to the next generation.
――You’re saying that what we’ve built up over the past 50 years will be passed on to the next generation.
Shitara: That's right. However, I don't expect them to do exactly what we do. I want them to use these tools to create new communities that I could never even imagine. To that end, I want to share as much as I can with them.
――Does it seem like *BEAMS SPORTS* will also become one of the places that symbolizes the next chapter for *BEAMS*?
Shitara: I’d be happy if that happened. Fashion, sports, entertainment, culture—I hope they’ll blend all these elements together to create a community unlike anything we’ve seen before.
