The only point in buying clothes with graphics or photographs printed on them is whether I like them or not. I believe that graphics are not affected by trends, so it is important that they strike a chord with my taste and what I like. This new work by "Surround" is a perfect example of this. I went to "TITLED WORKS," a photography exhibition by Felix Schaper, director of "Future," at the end of September last year. Last year, I went to Paris on a business trip. While visiting several stores in between interviews, I was interested in the directly managed store of "Officine Universelle Bury" in the Marais. The store reminded me of an old-time compounding pharmacy, and the bottles of perfumes and basic cosmetics with their unique atmosphere were so impressive that even after returning to Japan, I was still interested in them.
