Pop Dr. Martens worn by up-and-coming London creators.
Dr. Martens is a brand that cannot be avoided when discussing British culture and fashion. In recent years, the brand has gained a new fan base and is in the midst of updating itself to the next stage. The new "COLOUR POP" was released in the midst of such a trend. This collection is a metamorphosis of the standard "1461," or three-hole shoes, into three colors: blue, red, and yellow. The brand's light pop sense is embodied in these shoes, which were worn by creators active in London, which has been rocked by the Brexit issue.

Do you have a fashion obsession?
I wear casual clothes and also formal ones. I sometimes wear vintage sportswear with smart items. One thing I never miss is my vintage watch, a gift from my father.
What is your impression of Dr. Martens?
I own two pairs of "Dr. Martens" shoes. I remember when I moved to London five years ago, I immediately went to buy them. I believe that "Dr. Martens" is a brand that symbolizes England like Queen Elizabeth and shortbread cookies. You can't be a true Londoner if you don't own a pair of Martens.
How did you feel when you tried on the shoes this time?
It made me feel like a modern mod and it looked great. The pop of color is similar to the colors I actually use in my illustrations, so it feels familiar. I tend to wear darker colors in my clothes, and I often use shoes to add a splash of color, so these shoes were perfect.
What do you think about London today?
In a word, it is wonderful. Every morning when I leave my own home, I discover something new, and every day is filled with inspiration. As someone who works in the creative industry, it is a city that always evokes inspiration.

Do you have a fashion obsession?
I like classic and always wear something basic and simple. I have at least 10 white shirts. Also, my grandma used to work for Saint Laurent in Paris in the 70s and 80s and I think I am very much influenced by her outfits.
What is your impression of Dr. Martens?
I have a pair of classic 8-hole black lace-up boots. In the fashion industry, which changes so rapidly with the times, it is very difficult to have solid roots and remain an authentic brand, but I think "Dr. Martens" is one brand that has managed to do so. I think one of the reasons why Dr. Martens is loved by people of all ages is that they are able to offer designs that exquisitely match the times while retaining classic elements.
How did you feel when you tried on the shoes this time?
This "Color Pop" series just makes me feel good when I wear them!
The pop of color is a nice twist, keeping the goodness of the classic but with a new look.
What do you think about London today?
The beauty of London is that it is filled with so much culture and diversity. I am inspired by this city on a daily basis. It is a city where something new is always happening somewhere. However, with Brexit coming up, I am concerned about how London will change and what will happen to the creative industry.

Do you have a fashion obsession?
I think my style is similar to my paintings. I like clothes with lots of bright colors and interesting details. As for items, I like pants the most, and I think I own quite a few pants from denim to sportswear.
What is your impression of Dr. Martens?
I had a pair that I always loved when I was little. I have no doubt about the quality of the brand, and I think it is a brand that can create a buzz through various collaborations.
How did you feel when you tried on the shoes this time?
Actually, I haven't worn them in a while, but this "Color Pop" series makes me want to wear "Dr. Martens" again. I like them very much. Black is the standard color, and I think people generally have a strong image of it, but I think this is a nice change. I was reminded once again that I am always drawn to color when I wear this pair of shoes.
What do you think about London today?
I have been living in London for a little over a year now, having lived in Bristol not so long ago. As someone in the creative industry, I am reminded of the importance of being active in London. There are encounters that I have because I am in London, and there are many things that I can do to grow as an artist because of this city. I hope that regardless of the Brexit, the creative industry will be able to unite and generate positive energy.
