G-Star Raw" sublimates denim into a more fashionable item with its unique European design sense. The new "D-STAQ," a hybrid model that combines the details of denim and chinos, has arrived again this season. These pants have a variety of characteristics, but their greatest strength is their excellent compatibility with sneakers. For this issue, we asked Junichi Nakayama, a buyer at the select store "NUBIAN" in Harajuku, to show us five different styles using the "D-STAQ. What kind of image do you have of "G-Star Row"?

Recently, they have collaborated with Pharrell and "N0IR" led by artist SWAY, and they have been making very interesting efforts, so I am paying attention to them again.
When you launched the "Noir" collaboration, it was also carried by "Nubian". What was the reaction from customers?
Thanks to your support, the brand has been very well received by fans and younger customers. I think the appeal of "G-Star Lowe" is its strength as a fashion item. Each item is well-designed, and many customers purchase items after trying them on and experiencing the difference in comfort between them and other denim brands.
What are your first impressions of this season's new "D-STAQ"?

Denim is a standard item in fashion, and I think that most people wear denim in a way that it blends in with their outfits, but I think "D-STAQ" is the opposite.
What do you mean by reverse?

The stitching has been carefully designed down to the smallest detail, and I think it would be better to coordinate this item as the star of the show rather than to make it blend in with the rest of the collection.
How about the silhouette?

I think this silhouette is very current and trendy. Nubian carries a wide range of brands from street to luxury, and many of them offer slim pants. They are popular in our stores, and we have a high percentage of customers who purchase pants after trying them on. I think people understand the quality when they try them on, or they feel that they are different from ordinary denim.

Because of its futuristic design, it goes well with high-tech sneakers.
What we felt when we held these pants in our hands this time was that they "go very well with sneakers. What do you think?

I also think that the image of the [G-Star Row] brand also supports the "fit with sneakers" characteristic. Because the brand produces futuristic designs rather than heritage, it can be enjoyed with low-tech as well as high-tech sneakers, and I think it has the power to match the design of the shoes.
We actually asked them to create five different styles using "D-STAQ. Finally, please tell us about the appeal of these pants that you noticed while wearing them.

Also, the many color variations are a plus. In addition to the standard indigo, there is also beige, which takes advantage of the characteristics of chino, and bleach, which has a mode mood. I think it is easy to find a pair that suits your taste.

The unique slim silhouette that tapers sharply below the knee, the narrow hem width, and the meticulous attention to detail in the design. Mr. Nakayama, who explained to us that each of these elements are closely intertwined and "go well with sneakers," showed us how he coordinates his outfits using "D-STAQ.
A standard faded color is casual with a sports element.
Coordinates with a standard pair of jeans that have been lightly aged vertically while retaining a darker indigo color. The contrast between the blue and red track jacket is eye-catching. The red tops are meant to accentuate the beautiful indigo, which has a deep, rich color. The track jacket gives the coordination a sporty look, so I also matched it with running shoes on my feet. The simple design of the tops is contrasted with the design of the shoes, which have a high level of design.

D-STAQ" has a mode taste with a bleached, grayish color, and is contrasted in both color scheme and silhouette by wearing a big-size long T. "For the bleached finish, I chose a top that also has a vintage finish. I chose a vintage top to match the bleached finish. I wanted to create a color contrast between the top and bottom, so I wore sneakers in gray to blend in with the "D-STAQ. The denim rapidly tapers down to the knees, so the hem hangs beautifully, which is another charm of this denim. That's why it goes well with low-cut sneakers," he says.
The denim size is daringly raised to emphasize the work taste.
D-STAQ" has a roomy waist. Even if you dare to wear a larger size, the silhouette will not be loose because it is basically slim. The beige color has a work-like atmosphere. The vest and inner T-shirt are in the same color, and the shirt accentuates the look. The sneakers are high-cut and voluminous, and I was conscious of the work boot look. I think the combination can be worn with ease by adding the hems of the sneakers in to emphasize the volume of the shoes.
White denim to wear in summer is a refreshing fluorescent color.
The fresh white denim is perfect for the coming warmer weather. Nakayama also coordinated her summery look with it. When I saw the white color, I thought, 'I want to wear these sneakers with it. The color scheme is flashy, so I thought open white would go better with it than darker colors. I matched the T-shirt with the fluorescent color of the sneakers.
High shoes, like boots, can be accommodated by inverting the hem.
This is a basic item with a more faded color than the first denim. Mr. Nakayama gives his stamp of approval, saying, "I like this shade the best. It's not too dark, not too light, and I think this kind of tone is the easiest to coordinate. So I styled it in my own way with my favorite items. I think you can also wear old clothes with it. The shoes are high-cut, but they are long like boots, so I put the hems in to give them a nice silhouette.
