What were the key points of Seike's styling on this day?

Since these sneakers have elaborate gimmicks in terms of color and functionality, I paired them with a Lacoste polo shirt designed by Vinyl Archive and jersey pants with snap buttons on the sides in the shape of a line.
Did you have any experience wearing items from "Danner" in the past?
nobleman's house (esp. one with a palanquin-shaped roof)During my previous employment, I was taught to try out all the so-called standard fashion items, so I tried out the items that everyone knew, such as mountain boots by Danner and leather shoes by Alden.
You were a buyer at your previous company, BEAMS T. Did you develop your sense of fashion back then?

Although it was not a large label within the "BEAMS" organization, there was a lot of work that I was entrusted with freely, and I was able to gain a lot of valuable experience. I think my sense of fashion was more like something I stole than something I learned. There were many staff members at "BEAMS" who had personalities that you don't find at other boutiques.
Are there any jobs that stand out in your mind from that time as a buyer?
nobleman's house (esp. one with a palanquin-shaped roof)All of the work I was involved in for planning and special orders was memorable, but I think being able to participate in the collaborative efforts with Fuji Rock was a great asset. Until then, I had often worked with brands and artists, but at that time, I was able to experience the creations of people from companies in fields different from fashion. It has become a guideline for my own work since then, as it still is today.
After becoming independent and freelance, did your work expand even more?
nobleman's house (esp. one with a palanquin-shaped roof)Yes, thanks to your support, I have been able to work with an increasing number of clients that I was not involved with when I was a buyer, and I have been able to challenge myself in new fields of work. I also direct brands, but I am basically a behind-the-scenes worker who never appears on the stage, so there is not much I can talk about (laughs). However, as in my days at BEAMS, I have many opportunities to work with designers, writers, and artists of my favorite brands, and I enjoy doing so.
Finally, if you were involved in a project for "Danner," what kind of pair of shoes would you design?
nobleman's house (esp. one with a palanquin-shaped roof)Since I myself am not a designer, I would like to ask artists who resonate with the Danner worldview to provide artwork and create a pair that will bring innovation to the brand's existing image. I am sure that this would allow us to reach an even younger and different target audience. I think the best part of our job is that we can multiply the number 1 by many times and discover new discoveries by building bridges of collaboration.

Born in Shimane Prefecture in 1982, he started his career as a model and actor in his 20s, and has been active in many fields, appearing in men's fashion magazines, advertisements, artists' music videos, and commercials. At the same time, he leads a healthy and diverse lifestyle, deeply devoted to activities such as skateboarding, marathon running, fishing, and camping, which are also his hobbies. Recently, he has established a base in his hometown in Shimane Prefecture, where he runs a cafe and select store, "B.S.K.K.," which he co-owns. He embodies the dual life style of being based in Tokyo and Shimane.
Mr. Kasuga has many active hobbies, but when did he start leading such a lifestyle?
spring dayI started skateboarding because all the cool older students I admired in school were doing it, and I wanted to be a part of it. I found myself skateboarding whenever I had time. I have always liked to be physically active, and I am always willing to try anything that interests me. Outdoor activities such as fishing and camping, as well as sports such as marathons, are also a result of this nature. I naturally got into them.
I hear that you are into fishing these days. Do you have a favorite style of fishing?
spring dayI like both ocean and river fishing, but recently I have also been fishing for sea bass in Tokyo. I also like to ride a bicycle, so I enjoy cycling around to different spots. I often go chilling with multiple purposes in mind, such as skating or camping, rather than just fishing. There is a skate park called "AXIS SKATEBOARD PARK" near Ushikunuma, which I visited this time, and I have been curious about this spot for a long time, so I think I will drop by there on my way home.
I see. That sounds like Mr. Kasuga's way of dealing with fishing. The "Laptop Lite 3" is the perfect pair for someone with such an active lifestyle.

Various types of shoes have been released by various brands recently, but these "Wrap Top Light 3" are just so light that there is no stress, and even though they are sneaker-type shoes, they are easy to put on and take off. In addition to that, the sole has excellent grip, so you can walk on rocky terrain or on bad footing.

Mr. Kasuga chose the camo pattern model, how do you feel about the design?
spring dayCamo patterns blend well with the outdoors, where there is a lot of greenery, so they coordinate well. Also, if you wear it with street clothes, it would look great as a color accent to your outfits. I think this model is useful in both cases. It seems to match the taste of the clothes I usually wear.
Can you also tell us what you wore on this day?
spring dayThe combination of an American-style shirt and shorts made of denim by Natal Design, a family friend of mine, and the American-style items expresses the atmosphere of urban outdoors. Denim and camo go well together, so I think the "Wrap Top Light 3" on the footwear blends in nicely. Incidentally, the term "headwear" has always been a staple of mine.
What places would you like to go with this "Laptop Light 3" this summer?
spring dayI would like to wear them in the great nature of Shimane, since I am now living between Tokyo and Shimane. Izumo has all kinds of nature, including mountains, oceans, rivers, and lakes, so I think I can bring out the best of the "Wrap Top Light 3". In Shimane, we operate a select store where you can also eat rice, hold nature-themed events, and cultivate fields, so I would love for people in Tokyo to come visit us.
Finally, what kind of presence does the "Danner" brand have for you?
spring dayUntil now, the brand has had a strong image of being famous for its boots, including the Danner Lite and the wading boots that were the talk of the town in collaboration with Patagonia, but recently they have been offering a wide variety of sneakers that are just right for people like me who commute between the city and the outdoors. I am sure that people with a lifestyle like mine will continue to be a customer of yours in the future.

Toku / Dog Walker
Born in 1980 in Fukuoka Prefecture, he moved to Tokyo at the age of 20 after graduating from high school. After graduating from high school, he moved to Tokyo at the age of 20, where he became fascinated with skateboarding, which he had been familiar with since his teens, as well as pisto bikes and BMX, which he encountered during the boom that came in the 00's. He became a rider at the "W-BASE" cycle store in Harajuku. He was later invited to join the store's staff, where he worked for many years before leaving last year. Currently, while preparing for his future activities, he lives a comfortable life with his dog and his beloved steady.
How did you first become aware of the Danner brand?
Toku.I know this may sound a bit pedantic, but there was a senior in high school who showed me the direction of my current fashion and culture, and he wore "Danner Lite" boots. Until then, I had no interest in anything other than skate shoes and sneakers, but when I saw him oiling up his Danner Lite boots at night, I decided I wanted to grow up and buy a pair the next day with the money I had from my part-time job (laughs).
Was it around that time that you discovered skateboarding and pisto bikes?
Toku.I have been skateboarding since the first grade of junior high school, but I started riding a pisto bike around 2007. At first, I didn't like the idea of riding a pisto bike because I had the impression that they looked kind of skanky, but everyone seemed to be enjoying riding them in between skating sessions, so I gave it a try with some skepticism and was hooked.
From then on, he said, he was hooked on pisto bikes.
Toku.Surprisingly, it was fun to ride. I started out standing, skidding, and then doing wheelies. The feeling I got when I made progress or made something up was very close to the feeling I had when I first started skateboarding, and I found myself hooked.
Then skateboarding and biking became essential activities in Toku's life, and furthermore, he started working at "W-BASE" in Harajuku.
Toku.Yes, I started out as a customer, but soon after, I became friends with the manager, Mr. Moto, and the staff at the time, Mr. YOHEI, and they welcomed me as a rider at the store. After receiving support from them both publicly and privately, I was asked if I wanted to work at the store. I was invited to work at the shop and became a staff member. I have learned so many things at W-BASE, and more than that, I have met so many people, which is my greatest treasure.
How did the "Laptop Light 3" you wore this time go with your bicycle?
Toku.Personally, when I ride a bicycle, it is very important that the sneaker and pedals go well together, and the shape of the sole and upper are very limited, but this model was perfect. This model was perfect. The grip was excellent, and it was easy to feel the pedals.
Also, what did you think of the design from the point of view of Toku, who prides himself on his love of sneakers?
Toku.The chic black one-tone was fresh for outdoor shoes. I had thought that more retro coloring or earth colors were the mainstream these days. This design is comparable to the simple sneakers I usually wear, and I think they will be very useful.
Please tell us what you are particular about in your outfit for the day.
Toku.As usual, I incorporate items that are familiar brands or items that I feel a connection to the background. The hat is from Double Taps, which I have loved for over 10 years. The denim is the classic Levi's 501®, and the T-shirt is from his wife's brand "Traffic God," and is a photo T-shirt that he made himself, printed with a photo taken by his wife. The styling is simple, but I wanted to create a sophisticated look by balancing the sizing and using accessories.
Finally, can you tell us about your future activities as you start a new chapter?
Toku.Yes, for now I am freelance and my occupation is dog lover or dog walker (laughs). (laughs) While exploring various possibilities, I would like to take my time to think about the future. I would also like to spend more meaningful time with my dog and family than ever before. I would like to work hard at my own pace so that I can give a good report again to those who have helped me during my previous job and up to now.
