Do you usually wear sunglasses? What model do you have?
I think I hang it 365 days a year. I surf about three times a week, so I often hang it on the beach or while driving. Also, it is easy to use as a fashion item in summer because it becomes one point of interest.
What do you base your choice of sunglasses on?
After all, the first thing is appearance. It is important that they look cool when you wear them. Also, in my case, I spend a lot of time exposed to ultraviolet rays in the ocean, so I am also concerned about the functional aspect. Exposure to ultraviolet rays will inevitably damage my eyes, so it is best to have a high cutoff rate.
What is your image of "Lane" sunglasses?
I have been paying attention to OSHMAN'S ever since we started carrying it. Since the brand originated in California, it is inseparable from the surfing scene. I think the fact that they are only available in limited places is also a key point. I imagine that people who are particular about their style choose to wear them.
What do you want most right now?
I would like to have a dog. I would love to take a walk by the beach in the evening while enjoying the view of the ocean. I am thinking of a Yorkshire terrier.
What are your ambitions for the second half of 2019?
I am looking forward to seeing the scene rise to the Olympics. I hope to be able to watch the competition from a distance at the Olympics. The number of young people who are willing to travel an hour or two from Tokyo to go surfing is dwindling, so I hope that the number of young people who are willing to travel an hour or two from Tokyo to go surfing will increase.
