A superior sense of balance is what it is all about.
Point .

As a press agent, you are often in contact with stylists and stores, but what kind of feedback do you hear about "Keat" on the shop floor?
Kudose:People often tell me that "Keat's clothes are well-balanced and easy to coordinate. Many of the clothes from "Keat" fit easily with the wardrobe that we have on hand, so when stylists come to the press room to lease items, they always bring a piece from "Keat. Whenever a stylist comes to the press room for a lease, he or she always brings a piece from "Keat. I think this balance is the reason why both men and women support our brand. And I think this is because the designer, Mr. Takeda, enjoys fashion not only from his own brand, but also from a broad perspective while being aware of trends.
What is important to you when designing?
Takeda:Of course I think concepts and themes are important, but I am not good at verbalizing them. I like to follow trends, but I try to mix my own mood with the basics. What I am conscious of is to make the items in each collection have commonality in terms of material, color, and design, just like friends holding hands. However, I believe that it is best for people to enjoy coordinating the items according to their own interpretations.

Q: Was there anything you were conscious of when making this season's clothes?
Takeda:Yes, I think so. . I guess I incorporated some elements of running, which I have been into since last year. We did not go straight for a sporty design, but we were conscious of reflecting the comfort and amenity of running wear in the design and fabrics. In order to keep the brand from losing its bounce, I placed importance on a kind of tension: "You can wear it without feeling stiff, but it's not too loose.

Takeda:Take this overcoat, for example. It features a loose silhouette, but the use of taut nylon for the fabric gives it a sense of crispness. The waist can be arranged with a belt, and it can be freely played with depending on the way it is worn.
Kudose:He does not like to explain things in words, so I have never seen Mr. Takeda talking so enthusiastically... (laughs). (Laughs) But that's how much thought went into these clothes.
Takeda:However, I think the most ideal way is for people to wear and enjoy the clothes in their own way. I don't like excessive verbal embellishment. It's not bad to simply say, "I'm wearing a certain brand of clothing! is not a bad thing, but I would like to aim for a feeling of "Keat is kind of nice! I would like to aim for a feeling of "Keat is kind of nice!

What is your vision for the future of "Keat"?
Kudose:Well, let me start with you. Until recently, I think we were in an age when things sold on the basis of sense and design, but perhaps as a reaction to that, I am sensing an increase in the number of people who want to buy only after they have a firm understanding of the backbone of the product. . So, I hope that the quiet thoughts of the designer, Mr. Takeda, will reach mature people who have their own standards.
Takeda:I don't think I will change my stance on making clothes, so I will continue to move forward at my own pace. However, I felt that it is important for the designer to be out in front, and I felt that this would lead to a sense of security in knowing who is making the clothes. I would be happy if this could be an opportunity for customers and buyers who had never heard of "Keat" before to take a fresh look at the brand.
