What will be taken over and what will be changed as a result of the change in the company's structure? We interviewed Atsuo Matsuzawa, who is the brand's guiding light, and Satoki Inada, who is in charge of marketing, about the past and future of "Kalimar".

What is "Calimar" in the first place?
Once again, we unravel its history.

Kalimar" is an outdoor brand from the United Kingdom, the birthplace of alpinism. Originating from the phrase "carry more," Kalimar was founded in 1946 by Charles and Mary Parson as a manufacturer of cycling bags.

Its reputation for toughness and functionality quickly reached climbers, and in 1957, the company entered the backpack field. In 1957, the company entered the backpack business, developing cutting-edge products to meet the objectives of top climbers, while at the same time supporting many mountaineers and adventurers in their endeavors.

They have collaborated with world-class climbers and have released many innovative products. Their spirit of challenge and feedback is what makes Kalimar not just an outdoors brand, but a brand that lives together with climbers and alpinism itself. From the first climbing bag to the present, CALIMAR has taken on countless challenges in the high peaks, polar regions, and tropical rainforests of the world.
