Mixture of New Lacoste and Old Lacoste styles.Vol.01

LACOSTE will open a pop-up store in September. The store will feature approximately 400 items of vintage clothing as well as new items. The reason is clear. To prove that LACOSTE is timeless. At the same time, it is a proposal from the brand to address the problem of surplus production in the fashion industry. In this Series, we have asked five up-and-coming stylists to help us clarify the timelessness of Old Lacoste in advance of the pop-up store. The first installment is by Nobuyuki Ida. Lacoste, where Christophe Lemaire worked as creative director, is a sports luxury brand for our generation. Secondhand clothing is no exception.

The elegant colors of this French down are unique to France. Mr. Ida gave it a street touch based on outdoor items such as a mountain parka and mountain boots.

I layered a long mountain parka over a short down inner layer and paired it with sweatpants, which have become a street style staple in recent years due to the influence of athleisure and the 90s revival.

The fact that the parka chosen is by Izod Lacoste is also a point of intuition.

The color palette and textures have a unique Izod feel to them. The tie-dye, which has remained popular since this summer, balances the color palette. Tone on tone also expresses this season's style.

While this down jacket is perfect for French casual wear, it also looks good on the street. Lacoste's groundbreaking strength was once again demonstrated.

NEW LACOSTE

A down jacket that conforms flexibly to the body. The color and the balance of the quilting are both elegant. The side pockets with flaps add a subtle accent. Even when worn simply, this jacket is a dazzling piece of clothing. The eco-friendly down fiber from Thermoa and the hood and high-neck eliminates the need for a scarf.

OLD LACOSTE

This mountain parka from Izod Lacoste was made in the 1980s and made in the United States. The ennui color palette and texture remind us of good old products. Size L, but the silhouette is tight. It has a drawcord.

PROFILE

Nobuyuki Ida

Stylist, born in 1986, studied under Kazunori Masudate in 2006, became independent in 2009, and moved to England to master mode. She has returned to Japan and works mainly for fashion magazines and catalogs.

A limited-time pop-up store has opened in Omotesando. The shop sells approximately 400 pieces of Lacoste's vintage clothing, proposes coordinated outfits that mix vintage clothing with this season's new items, and offers a "UPCYCLE" ordering session, an attempt to raise the value of vintage clothing above its original value, proposing a new way of thinking about the brand and the values of free fashion.
