TINY GARDEN FESTIVAL (hereinafter referred to as "TGF") was held on August 31 (Sat.) and September 1 (Sun.). As the name suggests, the concept was "a party held in a small garden.
Participants are free to choose from music, crafts, art, movies, sports, food, etc., and spend their time as they wish. This may not sound new, but the variety of workshops, experience booths, and other content is remarkable.
Participants spend their time in their own way. The day was blessed with fine weather.
On the main street lined with stalls, almost all of the booths offer a variety of hands-on content, large and small. Not only are these events suitable for friends and couples, but they are also safe and enjoyable for parents and their children. It is no wonder that the number of participants with their parents and children has been increasing every year.
Contents include all-you-can-stuff food items made from local ingredients.
They were also able to experience making Japanese sweets featuring seasonal flowers with a wagashi craftsman from Umekatei, a wagashi shop established in 1958.
There was also a workshop for silk-screening original designs on tenugui (hand towels) and dyeing them with bengara.
