. you think you are moving of your own volition, but in fact you are being moved as intended.
. What struck me was how sound and light dominated the space and how people were subconsciously moved.
Moriyama:I was really curious about that. I couldn't see it.
Sakuma:Just before Mirai appeared on stage, there was a thud of something falling downstairs, which caused everyone to quiet down.
. As a member of the audience, I felt that people also move unconsciously, like butterflies attracted by lights.
Moriyama:That's how it is. People can be controlled by lighting and sound. We discussed this as well. It is no fun to set up a guide with arrows and directions. People think they are moving of their own volition, but in fact they are being moved as intended. That is exactly the theme of the project.
. I also sensed something a little out-of-this-world scary in Mr. Moriyama's performance.
Moriyama:Was it because his face was white?
All:LOL!
Sakuma:I had that feeling, too. I felt like I was in the other world.
Iwamoto:. in itself, it's like the merging of things that will never intersect.
Do you have any plans for the three of you to work together in the future?
Moriyama:This time, I planned this project with bone conduction technology in mind. Science and technology are constantly being updated, and I thought it would be good to do this project while the technology is still "alive. Next time, I would like to do it at a time when I can take a more deliberate approach.
Sakuma:The bone conduction technology itself was still part of the exhibit. The technology of generating sound by vibrating an object is still in its infancy in practical use, and I personally would like to improve the precision of the control and application of this technology to form a sharper version of this concept.
