What criteria do you usually use when choosing clothes?
. I am concerned about whether or not it can be used as a stage costume. But of course, I also want to use it in everyday life. So it is quite difficult.... In that respect, the cut-and-sewns I'm wearing now from Aigle are moisture absorbent, quick-drying, and look good. The fabric is soft and feels right at home.
. So your daily life and your live performances are connected to each other.
I often perform at gigs in the same clothes I left home in. . I may not draw that line too far. . But I am careful to add a little accent color. Even if I think I am a little flashy, it may not be so from the audience's point of view. It is the same with my performances. If I don't do something that I think is a little too much, the audience won't get the message. It is important to have an objective point of view in both music and fashion, isn't it?

How do you like the down worn over the cut-and-sew?
I usually travel by car, so I don't have to wear heavy clothing, but I have a friend who likes to BBQ and sometimes invites me in the middle of winter. But I am very cold... . . but when I put on a thick sweater and a coat, it's just too heavy. On the other hand, this down coat is lightweight but very warm, so this winter I can wear just this down coat with a cut and sewns.
The GORE-TEX fabric is waterproof, windproof, and breathable. . It also has many pockets and high storage capacity.
I don't want to carry as much luggage as possible , so I'm glad. I usually carry only my cell phone, wallet, and keys. Also, I'm really into black now.
Why is that?
There was a time about 10 years ago when I wore black all the time, and now I'm experiencing a boom that I haven't seen since that time.

Kan Sano's coordinates always seem to be in earth colors or gentle tones. She never goes with the latest fashions.
. The core of the work has always remained the same. However, I always want to update my style. I don't want to wear the latest fashions, but I try to incorporate current elements while maintaining an appropriate sense of distance from them.
Is that true of music as well?
Yes, that's right. Sounds change with the times, and we can't create music without taking that into consideration. This is especially true when producing an artist. However, in the end, the music has to feel right in my mind.
. It is important to be able to make your own choices.
Yes . I think this is also reflected in my own activities. I have been based in Tokyo for more than ten years now, but I feel that it is getting harder and harder to be an artist in Japan today. . But I am not thinking of going abroad because of that. . I would like to stick to transmitting my music from Japan.
