Sodeyama: I have the impression that many of your illustrations are car motifs.
Just the other day I was traveling by car in the U.S., and one of the things that impressed me about that trip was that many of the cars were in shambles. They were missing rear doors and had repainted them themselves. I thought these patchwork cars were really cool. Recently, I have started to create works using cars as a motif again.
What was your trip like?
We toured from California to New Mexico, but we didn't book lodging or anything in advance, we just moved to the limit and stayed in available motels. However, I do not have a driver's license, so my husband drove the whole time (laughs).
What do you wear when you travel?
I'm very conscious of being able to quickly put on a feather or quickly take it off. . so it is similar to the way I dress today.

Do you wear a lot of vintage clothes?
. if I choose what I like, that's what I'll do. . I rarely go to formal places because of my occupation. Also, when I wear vintage clothes, I tend to match them with beautiful things, but the outerwear I chose this time fits very well. The orange color is also nice.
Aigle is a brand with a history of over 165 years, and "timelessness" is one of its themes. Many of the pieces are made by referencing past archives, so even vintage clothes can be matched.
The name "Aigle" reminds me of Paris. Also, I have been wearing rubber boots for a long time. I heard that your boots are still made by hand by French craftsmen. I chose my current profession because I wanted to be a craftsman, and I would like to observe how they are actually working someday.
Are there places you like to go to find motifs for your designs?
Right now I want to go to the mountains so badly. I was once taken to the Southern Alps for three days and two nights, and it was so demanding that I was moved by my normal life. But after that, even when I was working at night, I suddenly remembered the view of the mountains and the starry sky I saw at night. My longing for the mountains became stronger.

This outerwear is made with MTD, a unique feature with excellent moisture permeability and waterproofing, and is water-resistant, so it will work well for mountaineering as well. Moreover, it is lined so that it is resistant to pilling even when wearing sweaters.
. it's nice. Besides going to the mountains, I often exhibit at outdoor events, so functional clothing is really useful. Moreover, it is sturdy, so I'm planning to wear it hard.
