PROFILE
An up-and-coming style master who has been showing his extraordinary talent since his teenage years, he is quickly making a name for himself in the Yokohama area, a fierce skateboarding battleground. Currently, he works for "KUKUNOCHI," one of the leading skateboard distributors in Japan, while receiving support from several skate brands and focusing on his activities as a skateboarder. He is also the manager of LACQUER, a skate store in Kannai, Yokohama, which is operated by the same company.
What was your impression when you tried on the special-order items from "Override"?
. "Usually when I wear caps, I tend to wear Huff items, but since the design was based on a rather iconic logo and was familiar to me, it was easy to wear in that sense as well. Not only caps, but also the clothes I wear are simple and sophisticated rather than assertive designs, so it seems easy to use when skating or for everyday use".
What is the point of today's outfit?
I don't usually have a theme for my outfits, but I tend to dress in a way that looks ordinary at first glance, without being out of place, yet easy to skateboard in, and I think this is exactly that kind of styling. I've recently been into half-zip tops and standard work pants, but by matching them in just the right size, you can get the look you're going for. However, by matching them in just the right size, I think I can create a somewhat European atmosphere rather than an American one. The brand of the cap and slip-on shoes is also a subtle point of unification.
Kanno-kun, what kind of lifestyle do you usually lead as a skater?
My hometown is in Kanagawa, and there are many skaters in my area, especially in the area where the surf culture and other horizontal groove culture has developed. There are many highly skilled skaters who compete in contests and are supported by famous brands. In such an environment, I am able to work hard and compete with other skaters, and now that I have a job related to skateboarding, my days are filled with skateboarding. Every day is fun.
A: What kind of skater do you want to be in the future, and what are your plans for the future?
I have no desire to compete in competitions or become famous as a professional skater. As long as I am a skater, it is very important for people to judge me by my skating films. . For that reason, I want to skate every day. . I just want to be careful not to get too stoic and get injured.
