Renault is a French-born automobile manufacturer. The "TWINGO" is particularly popular for its rounded, compact form and unique design. Combined with its outstanding ride comfort and ease of handling, the TWINGO is also a favorite among the fashion-conscious, who have a strong opinion about cars. France, the home country of Renault, is also known for its beautiful scenery and rich history. It is known as a country that has a strong affinity with Japan, especially Kyoto, the "city of a thousand years," where beauty can be experienced on a daily basis. This time, we took the "Twingo" on a tour of Kyoto. The president of the boutique store "Loftman," Makoto Kimura, served as our navigator around the city. We will visit the spots recommended by Mr. Kimura in the "Twingo".

Y gion" is a modern building complex that stands out in the Gion area. CANDYBAR GALLERY" is located on its second floor.

Gion is lined with famous French and kappo restaurants and teahouses, and you can often see maiko (apprentice geisha) in Gion, as if it were a flower town. CANDYBAR GALLERY" is a space where visitors can casually experience art in the center of Gion. The gallery space is open to the public free of charge in hopes of making art more accessible. Visitors can enjoy artworks to their heart's content in a sophisticated minimalist space.

The limited number of works allows visitors to take their time to appreciate them," says Kimura.

As well as music and creative events, "Y gion" is a frequent visitor to the area, as are the limited-time-only restaurants that open during the summer months. This "CANDYBAR GALLERY" is especially useful as a casual art spot where you can stop by on a whim. There is nothing like sitting in a chair in the middle of the floor and concentrating on a work of art.

Rare art pieces, including a chair by French architect and designer Jean Prouve, are neatly laid out.

Curated from all genres, including not only paintings, but also modern art, photography, and ceramics. The exhibition structure carefully selects works from Japan and abroad, allowing visitors to simply and directly feel the appeal of each artist.

Renault Japon is sponsoring "FUTURE ANTIQUE," an event organized by T-SITE under the theme "From modern craftsmanship to antiques of the future.
