Steve Hiett
After making his debut as a guitarist in a band in the 1960s, he worked as an art director before becoming a photographer. His only album "On the Beach," released only in Japan in 1983, has recently been reevaluated and its price has skyrocketed. This is one of the songs from the album, which was made into a record after the discovery of a treasured tape recorded in Paris, where he spent time as a fashion photographer from 1986 to 1997.

I've been listening to this song for about 15 years now to the point of wear and tear, and I had the opportunity to correspond with Andy himself this year, so I've been listening to it a lot this year. I love the mermaid music video the best.
The most impressive music news of the year
City Dive" by Hitomitoi (1311) ranked 34th overall in Music Magazine's 100 Best All-Genre Albums of the 2010s among the last 10 years! Among Japanese music, it ranked 5th! I was really surprised and happy that the song was chosen as one of the best Japanese music albums of the decade.
I remember 8 years ago, I was a fan of # Streamline's music and asked Mr. Takiguchi to let me do the jacket design for the next Streamline album at Nico in Komazawa Park. However, Mr. Takiguchi told me that there was no prospect for the next Streamline Line's album, and since I was about to produce an artist named Hitomitoi, how about starting from the direction of the album? I joined the City Drive production team. At the time, I had no idea that this album would become a historical album that would lead the current city pop boom. I am very happy that I have been designing Hitomi's albums since this album, and I am sincerely grateful to Mr. Takiguchi for giving me the opportunity to do so.
Anyway, I am very happy!
I'm persistent, but this is the 5th best Japanese music in the last 10 years!
The total of Western and Japanese music is ranked 34th!
Artists to watch for next year
Beef fantasy. He is like a man of sense and where there are too many mysteries. I love the fact that he is like an invisible man that no one has ever met. I always pay attention to him.
What are your ambitions for the coming year?
Next year, I will be participating in various festivals and producing events, and I expect to move at a dizzying pace around music, so I will be taking a more cultural approach than ever before. I would also like to put more effort into my fashion brand than I did last year.

Yuge Designer / President of Adult Oriented Records
Born in Tokyo in 1974, he dropped out of Kuwasawa Design School in 1996 and started a custom-made shirt brand while working on costumes for theater companies and entertainers. 2000 AW he started his fashion brand "Yuge". In June 2018, he opened "Adult Oriented Records" in Yoyogi Uehara, and is currently presenting "modern AOR". AOR" in the modern age.
